Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday commemorates the night when Jesus gathered with His disciples for the Last Supper, where He instituted the Lord’s Supper and gave the command (“mandate,” from which Maundy comes) to love one another as He has loved us (John 13:34). For the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), this day is especially important because it highlights Christ’s real presence in Holy Communion, where believers receive His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. It also marks the beginning of the sacred Triduum (three holy days), drawing worshippers into the depth of Christ’s sacrifice, His humble service, and His steadfast love shown on the way to the cross.

Join us at Fountain of Life as we observe and celebrate the night that Jesus instituted this Holy Feast.
